The clouds cannot rollback

The clouds cannot rollback
Seems, time is descending
Once all new beginnings
Now, so much is ending

Never giving oneself
A complete and fair shake
Always seeing the flaws
In the short life we make

After the arrival

After the arrival
A Life is not at beach
Entering the ocean
Reaching the out of reach

Stopping merely to rest
Pilgrim and refugee
Destiny and future
Elope without decree

Far from the crowded flock

Far from the crowded flock
Looking for the one tree
That grows far from the woods
Tall and solitary

An unobstructed view
Don an apron of space
See storm clouds coming
Or skies without a trace

The canary in me

The canary in me
Has flown out of the mine
Bright yellow and deep gold
Not following a line

To accept a wander
One can never be lost
The here and the now are
Coordinates embossed

Missed opportunity

Missed opportunity
Magnolia frost bite
Stillness in day and hour
Sitting here like a kite

How to appreciate
Present circumstances
Knowing what might have been
Given better chances

Sadness in happiness

Sadness in happiness
Wrinkled sheets of cotton
All the joys remembered
So many forgotten

Unable to go back
And share in a rejoice
Once complete, now apart
Floor boards without their joist

Not here empty handed

Not here empty handed
There are pockets of air
The long roads of Life are
Now gray strands of short hair

Seeking new beginnings
That may finish or not
Trying to serve the meal
While still stirring the pot
