They call you a monster

They call you a monster
A monster, my old friend
I agree, I can see
And so it had to end

And so I had to leave
There is no going back
Like an arrow shot from
A bow, has but one track

No imagination

No imagination
Reality it seems
Seconds are but seconds
No hopes, no wish, no dreams

All is calculated
No chance to improvise
But look the clouds freely
Are changing in the skies

Always willing to change

Always willing to change
To be unlike a star
When my hopes were hollow
Like an empty train car

Rejecting the dealt cards
And not playing my hand
Changing my DNA
Until is spells And

Are there new beginnings

Are there new beginnings
Or only corners turned
Are fabrics woven and
No patterns overturned

Are we absorbing or
Can we deflect, discard
Once ill but now healthy
Recovered but not marred

Your love was too wooded

Your love was too wooded
For someone blind as me
The forest a minefield
A bomb in every tree

Having found a clearing
Without you - a plateau
Love is wide wandering
With friends and not your foe

Enough of the taking

Enough of the taking
Narcissistic robber
My essence, my self is
Not here for the clobber

The tide of anger in
Knowing I called your bluff
What you said was untrue
And so I said enough

Nothing brilliant today

Nothing brilliant today
Another stone counted
No valley too low, no
Mountain unsurmounted

A day to watch shadows
Grow taller and then fade
Not steering clear of but
Not immersing, just wade
