Two triumphant bonsai

Two triumphant bonsai
Our toes are in the lawn
Our feet loose and our limbs
Stretch larger than a yawn

Alive and lavishing
Thoughts free as the wind blows
Facing the elements
Fearless and without no's

Stop looking back at years

Stop looking back at years
And remembering when
Pivot on the present
And zero in on zen

Accumulate wisdom
But here and now jnana
Find might in the moment
Navigate nirvana

The pendulum is stuck

The pendulum is stuck
No swing and no return
It's too far to the right
When will we ever learn

That freedom is fighting
And progress must be won
We must stop the hateful
That subtract and not sum

Our past growing colder

Our past growing colder
In a snowfall of days
Here on the clearest night
With no cloud cover haze

To hold what little warmth
Before it surrenders
No air, no fuel, no want
Go out, dying ember

Kindness painted pitch black

Kindness painted pitch black
Acceptance out of reach
Our hopes peppered with no
It's all pit and no peach

Flinching at the future
Growing bleaker each time
Our World and words smaller
Near-sighted without rhyme

Again the Overwhelm

Again the Overwhelm
The language of Being
Universal knowledge
And spoken by seeing

Cloud blooms and daisy bursts
Blue, white, above green, brown
With hawks hung by Calder
That keep swirling around

Fixated and focused

Fixated and focused
The kaleidoscope still
The dust may have settled
But the thoughts are not nil

Looking at the valley
Even after the climb
Descend the other side
Out of sight, out of mind
