In the North Atlantic

In the North Atlantic
Our icebergs were afloat
Kept in chilly waters
Ice diamonds for the throat

No thaw or warm degrees
Our feet were off the floor
Snow white with blue bodies
Left frozen to the core

Take the imperfection

Take the imperfection
From underneath the rug
From under the couch like
A misdirected bug

Take merit in trying
Maturity in fact
Bringing fault to light with
Understanding and tact

Enter the labyrinth

Enter the labyrinth
The words of abstraction
Modernistic in tone
But classic redaction

An arrow passing through
A densely wooded plot
Not striking a tree and
Hitting the target spot

Letting the day go by

Letting the day go by
No sense of time movement
Without an agenda
Or need for improvement

Or an accomplishment
It meanders and strolls
Without current or push
It just rolls as it rolls

Hoping for jealousy

Hoping for jealousy
Or some form of envy
Anything not pretty
But it's not what I feel

Just look me in the eye
To see there is no why
Only good feelings lie
And turn on my heart wheel

Wanting the world to see

Wanting the World to see
This moment of beauty
A fleeting purity
Of Life amongst objects

A silence to be shared
And in stillness declared
Let those of us who cared
Simply pay our respects

Grievances and grudges

Grievances and grudges
Cold shoulder to the weed
Permission for seasons
Clear land and then reseed

Both the jury and judge
Let sentences expire
There’s no right in holding
A superior spire
