Spring is arriving to

Spring is arriving to
A great population
Social distancing of
Strangers and relations

The world comes together
Oddly, staying apart
Like stars of a night sky
A constellation chart

We are not like two stones

We are not like two stones
We are two trees planted
Growing in one place up
And out, slightly slanted

We have stood together
Roots firm, weather tested
Both steady and healthy
That robins have nested

We travel from brilliance

We travel from brilliance
Sun moments, sunken posts
A collection of time
Now memories at most

Mixture and chemistry
Sparks like stars are burning
Holes in a vast darkness
In a cosmic turning

Here I am, so simple

Here I am, so simple
Individual one
Coarseness sanded smooth by
Existing, lost or won

Living the fleeting blink
Or the fixated eye
With other travelers
The them, the you, the I

Learning to celebrate

Learning to celebrate
Beginnings and endings
Seeing the miracles
In constant days blending

The right hand raised to oath
To nurture joy not storms
To wear silver linings
As outer uniforms

The end of the questions

The end of the questions
There is no pot of gold
No matter the byway
Answers never unfold

No greater intellect
Than kindness unbridled
So this is our journey
From pauper to titled

Here we are in future

Here we are in future
Did we play our cards right
Did we overstate plans
Have proper oversight

So much unexpected
Happier, less worry
In hindsight our eyes were
Just a tad bit blurry
